Title: Integrable nonlinear partial differential equations and Riemann-Hilbert problems I
Abstract: This lecture introduces the Lax pair representation as a basic characteristic of integrable PDEs. It explains how linearized models lead to Riemann-Hilbert formulations of Cauchy problems, and recalls basic notions of Riemann-Hilbert problems in the complex plane.
