Abstract:
I will give an introduction to Goodwillie-Weiss' embedding calculus, which gives a tower of homotopical approximations to the space of embeddings of a manifold into another. In particular, I will present Manuel Krannich' and Alexander Kupers' ∞-categorical foundation for this embedding calculus, which has an interesting interpretation in terms of ∞-operads.
