Abstract:
The classical Frobenius for commutative rings admits a generalization to commutative ring spectra, introduced by Nikolaus and Scholze, known as the Tate-valued Frobenius. In this talk, I will review this construction and analyze its behaviour in the special case of suspension ring spectra. I will establish various lifting and factorization theorems in this setting and will illustrate these through concrete examples.
