Effects of fluid slippage at a solid/fluid interface can hardly be observed in macroscopic dynamic wetting. In this talk, we will discuss how slip can have significant effects on dynamic wetting in small-scaled fluidic systems. Two cases will be presented:

  1.  spontaneous dewetting of microdroplets
  2. forced dewetting in a tube. In the regime where the slip length is close to the characteristic size of the system, varying the slip length can significantly alter the profile evolution of a droplet or the transition velocity of forced dewetting. We give explanations in terms of the change of flow structure inside the fluid.
