I am a PhD candidate at the section for mechanics, working on bubble and droplet dynamics in fluid-structure interactions, specifically so-called "hairy structures". This work is experimental in nature, where I create an array of pillars made from elastomers and analyze the dynamics of bubbles pushed through perpendicular to the length of the pillars (hairs) from the buoyant force. The main goal is to elucidate a currently unknown phase diagram for the motion of bubbles through such hairs as a function of elasticity and fluid viscosity.

My master's is from NTNU, where I studied Biophysics and Medical Technology, an interdisciplinary approach to both medical and biological systems from the primary perspective of physics. My thesis consisted of producing several species of DNA-coated colloids and analyzing their behaviour as a function of the system temperature. The main result was a proof of concept that diffusing-wave spectroscopy can be used to measure the gelation of even multi-valent systems, rather than just binary ones.
