I have recently joined the Mechanics group at the University of Oslo as a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Andreas Carlson’s group. My project focuses on developing a robot that exploits vibration-based adhesion, where I will use a range of experimental techniques to investigate the fluid–elastic coupling underlying this phenomenon. The aim is to answer fundamental questions about the physics while leveraging these insights for automated locomotion in a sustainable framework.
I completed my PhD at the Fluid Mechanics Lab (LadHyX, École Polytechnique, France), where I explored origami-inspired strategies for flow control. In particular, I studied how large shape changes can induce drag discontinuities on structures, offering new approaches for drag reduction and manipulation.
