About the project
AI has achieved many spectacular achievements so far in several tasks, in particularly involving images and languages. On the other hand, it is still very weak in logical reasoning and tasks requiring absolute precision such as mathematics and science.
This project explores the possibility of combining the strength of AI with that of human experts to create mathematical questions in elementary schools - one of the first steps to improve the weakness mentioned above by current AI techniques.
Objectives and Potential Impacts
The project involves Deep Learning and Mathematical Education. We aim to make several first significant steps in using AI to help creating meaningful and correct mathematical questions in elementary schools. To resolve this is to touch on one of the most difficult aspects in current AI technology. The potential impact is mostly in Education and Technology.
We aim to create a website for the public to test.

It helps to cover some activities needed for the research.
Update: The project is finished in December 2023. The next step is to develop it more, and the ultimate goal is to make it into a startup. A website demo (MVP) is made. Because of limited resources, the website cannot be made public. However, if you are a stakeholder (e.g. a teacher at an elementary school or an investor), then feel free to contact me.
