Abstract: Capacities quantify the rates at which information can be send over noisy communication channels. In this tutorial, I will introduce capacities that can be defined for quantum channels. Unlike for classical channels, there are different capacities that play a role here depending on the type of information to be transmitted. After introducing these quantities, I will discuss some of their basic properties, which appear strange from a classical point of view.
