Postdoc Career Success Programme

The Postdoc Career Success Programme (PCSP) is an online programme delivered by career development specialist PostdocTraining. It provides training in skills and tools that you can apply immediately in your daily work and is designed to help you pursue detailed career plans, increase your efficiency and effectiveness, and accelerate your progress.

The programme provides you with tools for 

  • career planning and career pathways

  • time-, people- and project management
  • publishing strategies
  • initiating partnerships
  • attracting funding
  • building networks

You get

  • 15 online modules delivered fortnightly over 8 months (on average 2 hours to complete)

  • one-to-one access to PostdocTraining's experienced mentors for career coaching
  • e-mail career guidance / e-mail support
  • career options masterlist, a database of PhD career path case-studies
  • a monthly news service on research-related career issues
  • open-ended access to all course material
  • opportunity to be matched into a small ‘Mastermind’ peer mentoring group of UiO postdocs for private career-related discussions

Platform for networking

The programme also serve as a platform for you to network with your peers as all participants are invited to two or three physical meet-up events throughout the year.

Eligibility

Eligible participants are

  • a postdoctoral fellow or researcher at the MN Faculty or the Natural History Museum and
  • have a contract of employment valid throughout 2024

Expectations

As a registered participant, you are expected to;

  • Work independently with all 15 modules
  • Attend the physical meet-up events. (20.March and 11.December)
  • Attend the live tutorials
