Research interests

Soliton and peakon nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) are in focus of my research. These equations model important natural phenomena in fluid and lattice dynamics, nonlinear optics, quantum field theory, etc. I study qualitative properties of the solutions of the soliton and peakon systems, where the long-time asymptotic behavior is of particular interest. Also I analyze the existence, uniqueness, continuity properties and the blow-up questions for these nonlinear PDEs.
