The 'What is..?'-seminar is created by, and intended for, the young researchers at the department of Mathematics (in particular, PhD and postdoc).

The inspiration comes from the 'What is..?'-column of the AMS; talks should be short expository talks to a general mathematical audience explaining anything from a foundational idea of your field of mathematics to a nifty construction or an interesting problem.
Each session consists of two 15 minute talks with a break in between providing an ample opportunity to socialise. Coffee/Tea and cake will be served.
