Dag is an astronomy Ph.D. with a background in mathematics and with experience from the space industry. In his research, Dag applies large-scale magnetohydrodynamic simulations to model the stellar wind and space weather environment around solar-type stars of various ages and masses. By combining stellar wind models with models of high-energy particle propagation and wind-planet interaction, Dag's aims to reveal how magnetic activity and stellar outflows influence the evolution and habitability of planets around solar-type stars. Before joining PHAB, Dag was a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden Observatory, the Netherlands, where he studied the magnetic fields and winds of solar-type stars. Dag has also worked with Earth observation instrument and space missions.
Dag Evensberget
Dag Evensberget is a postdoctoral fellow who joined PHAB in October 2025. At PHAB, Dag will study the interaction between stellar winds, high-energy particles, and (exo)planetary atmospheres.
