Nicole’s previous studies from Victoria University of Wellington focused on quantifying future extinction risk of living New Zealand marine molluscs. For her PhD thesis she will apply time series inference framework to better quantify relationships between abiotic and/or biotic time series across the Phanerozoic and assess the difference between dynamic processes underlying Earths biological and geological history.
