Vincent Kofman

Vincent joined PHAB in April 2025. He will be working on linking geochemistry with atmospheric chemistry and spectroscopy.

As a planetary scientist, Vincent aims to understand habitability by studying atmospheres, their radiative balance, and 3D simulations of climates. Much of his work focusses on exoplanets, simulating terrestrial exoplanets around various stellar hosts, considering stellar types, rotation rates, and the effects on the climate. A critical aspect in these studies is constraining the potential of studying these atmosphere remote observations, using current and future telescopes. He is an expert in radiative transfer, and helped develop the Planetary Spectrum Generator (PSG, https://psg.gsfc.nasa.gov).
