SIRIUS-Labs
SIRIUS-Labs is a research laboratory within the Reliable Systems (PSY) research group. Building on the legacy of the SFI-SIRIUS (a Centre for Research-based Innovation) , SIRIUS-Labs continues to conduct high-impact, interdisciplinary research in information modelling, formal logic, semantic technologies, and digital engineering. Our team aims to combine the power of artificial intelligence and the Information Modelling Framework to develop neuro-symbolic AI solutions that can address the complexity of modern engineering and industrial systems.
Information Modelling Framework
The Information Modelling Framework is a methodology developed by SIRIUS-Labs for representing and integrating information. It combines principles from systems engineering, aspect-oriented thinking, and semantic technologies to identify, structure, and link technical information across disciplines and value chains. The IMF’s goal is to support digital transformation by enabling coherent, interoperable, and semantically rich information models that can be used throughout the lifecycle of complex engineering projects.
SIRIUS History
SIRIUS is a Norwegian Centre for Research- driven Innovation that addresses the problems of scalable data access in the oil & gas industry. It conducts interdisciplinary research leading to innovations that will advance and support digitalization in the oil and gas industry.
