Cosmology seminar: Yashar Akrami: Everything You Always Wanted To Know About The Cosmological Constant Problem (But Were Afraid To Ask).

Yashar Akrami is a postdoc with Hans Kristian with a background in theoretical high energy physics and cosmology

This talk will give a pedestrian blackboard tour of the paper
http://arxiv.org/abs/arXiv:1205.3365 by Jerome Martin (with the same title as
above). It will aim to describe in line with the paper how the cosmological constant
problem comes about and how severe it is. A problem which must be of interest to
anyone who is to call him or herself a cosmologist. After hearing this you will for
instance stop saying 10^120 and start saying 10^55.
