Cosmology Seminar: Lorenzo Reverberi

Lorenzo Reverberi is a postdoc at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (FZU) in Prague.

Chameleons on the loose

In this talk, I will briefly review how certain modified gravity theories are screened through the chameleon mechanism and how this screening relates to the widely used quasi-static approximation. In the context of f(R) gravity, I will discuss which physical situations might evade these conditions and how the resulting phenomenology can allow us to put tighter constraints on modified gravity.
