Title
“Cancer Digital Twins: From Personalised Treatments to In Silico Trials”
Abstract
Cancer heterogeneity remains one of the greatest hurdles in modern oncology, often rendering uniform treatment approaches ineffective. In this talk, I will introduce the concept of cancer digital twins based on mechanistic mathematical and machine learning models of varying complexity. I will showcase how patient-specific computer simulations can tackle cancer heterogeneity, moving from personalise treatment dosing and schedules towards fully in silico clinical trial design that could enable safer, faster and more efficient drug evaluations.
