Title
"Cancer transcriptomics beyond one gene–one number: variant aware, spatial and prostate cancer use cases".
Abstract
Our research goes beyond the typical one gene–one number approaches by emphasising qualitative analyses of transcript structures critical for precision oncology. As early adopters of omics wet lab technologies, we develop novel downstream computational strategies to detect RNA variants, alternative and aberrant splicing, and fusion transcripts. Integrating short- and long read RNA seq, spatial transcriptomics and multi sample bulk deconvolution, we resolve intra and inter tumour heterogeneity and cell type composition. The talk will present prostate cancer omics case studies showing how variant aware, spatial analyses reveal clinically relevant transcriptomic variation.
