- Advanced quantitative skills and data analysis: Proficiency in statistics, machine learning, modeling and working with large datasets — ready to be applied to real business cases.
- Independent project leadership: Experience in planning, budget management, tracking progress and delivering outcomes under uncertainty.
- Research methodology and experimental design: Systematic approaches to testing, validation and reproducibility that support robust implementation of new solutions.
- Communication and interdisciplinary collaboration: Ability to make complex knowledge accessible to non‑experts and to work effectively in mixed teams.
- Innovation orientation and idea development: Generating new approaches, improving processes and identifying research‑based business opportunities.

Currently, this unique opportunity is only available at the University of Oslo.
Slice of Science 2026
Slice of Science was the social part of THE WEEK 2026. Twelve early career researchers gave short, four-minute talks aimed at a broad audience. The programme combined presentations with pizza and a quiz. Great presenters and fantastic crowd. See highlights below.
