More about Soundsensing

Our goal at Soundsensing is to eliminate as many unexpected malfunctions as possible. To do this, we use sensors to collect machine health data and machine learning to analyze the data. When abnormal or problematic conditions are detected, the system alerts the operations team in the building.

Especially important skills

  • Ability to collaborate
  • Communication (oral)
  • Communication (written)
  • Accelerated learning
  • Adaptability
  • Independent, self-starter
  • Follow through/ Ability to complete tasks/ Get things done

Projects

We have several million hours of vibration data for HVAC systems in buildings, from our own sensors. Ware continuously improving our sensors, datasets, machine learning approaches, and platform for data processing and presentation.

EARONEDGE (2022-2026), exploring the use of sound in combination with vibration. IPN project, supported by Norwegian Research Council.

We plan to have a follow-up R&D project starting summer 2026.
