I am a master student from the Netherlands. Currently I am doing my master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Radboud University in Nijmegen, where I also obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Within the master’s program I specifically focus on epidemiology and general research methodology.
During my bachelor’s program I gained an interest in reproductive epidemiology, which led to me doing my bachelor internship in the field as well. This internship further solidified my enthusiasm around the topics and methodology. Personally, I feel motivated to bridge the knowledge gap on the effects of medication use during pregnancy. This way, we can able women to make more informed choices about their own health before, during, and after pregnancy.
I am delighted to have the chance to do my master internship with the PharmaSafe group. During my visit, I will work on the project titled: "Antidepressant use before and during pregnancy and postpartum weight retention". I am eager to learn more about the topic and I look forward to collaborating with the PharmaSafe research group.
