I embarked on my research career in clinical pharmacology during pharmacy school. I have employed pharmacometrics methods and collaborated with clinicians to translate actionable insights into the bedside to optimize antibiotic dosing for critically ill patients, aiming to maximize efficacy, minimize toxicity, and prevent drug resistance. Later, I transitioned to medical school and completed a master’s degree in medical science. My research focus shifted towards translational-oriented and multi-omics research for biomarker discovery and mechanistic elucidation, including drug-induced toxicity. I aimed to unravel molecular perturbations underlying toxicity caused by drug use, thereby facilitating the discovery and validation of biomarkers.

Participating in the PharmaSafe group as an International Alliance for PharmacoGenetic Epidemiology Excellence (iAPOGEE) Visiting Fellowship offers a valuable opportunity for me to further expand my research approach toward the rational use of medicine. I will work with and under the guidance of members of the PharmaSafe Research Group to use Norwegian-linked databases of mother-father-offspring to find the signals related to paternal drug exposure and offspring adverse outcomes.
