Academic interests

I am working with analysis of the plasma in the ionosphere and the measurements that are being carried out by the m-NLP instrument aboard NorSat-1. One important part of this work is to investigate the interaction between the instrument and the plasma environment, which is being done in the newly installed plasma chamber at the University of Oslo.

I have a general interest in the study of complex systems and their fluctuation properties together with the development of associated experimental methods. Generally, such experiments impose harder requirements on the measurement in order to separate the fluctuations in the system under study from the fluctuations in the measurement apparatus.
