Academic interests
My research is centered on the search for physics beyond the Standard Model with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. In particular, I work on searches for scenarios in which a new heavy neutral gauge boson, known as a Z', is produced together with dark matter. The Z' can be viewed as a heavier analogue of the Standard Model Z boson and often appears in extensions of the Standard Model. Dark matter is thought to account for roughly 85% of the matter content of the Universe, yet it has not been directly observed in particle physics experiments, and its fundamental nature remains unknown.
During my PhD, I worked on searches for di-Higgs production. Earlier, in my master’s thesis, I focused on the early Universe, with a focus on the thermal and chemical decoupling of dark matter.
