Academic interests
As a researcher, my motivation is to contribute to the understanding of intermolecular interactions to accurately predict and model fluid dynamic behaviors. Interested in the confluence of chemistry, statistical mechanics, and fluid dynamics.
Background
My first scientific problem, while I pursued my PhD in Engineering Sciences at Universidad de Concepción (Chile), focused on providing a concept device capable of generating fluid motion from thermal gradients at the nanoscale. Later, I worked with Richard Sadus and Billy Todd at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, trying to evaluate how the inclusion of electric polarization influenced macroscopic thermodynamic properties.
In 2023, I moved to Denmark to work as a postdoc under the supervision of Frank Jensen at Aarhus University. This project focused on the development of a charge-flow polarization model, transferring information from ab initio computations to classical MD simulations.
Today, I'm at the Department of Physics + Njord center, aiming to contribute to the understanding of water-mineral interfaces using machine learning potentials.
