Academic interests

My research has always focused on understanding processes and causalities in dynamic systems across scales—from geological fluid-rock interactions to contemporary sustainability transitions. What drives me is the wish to generate positive societal change - harnessing the potential for rigorous scientific modeling to create actionable insights. I am passionate about applying multiscale system dynamics to solve critical challenges like resource overconsumption, combining methods from various fields, guided by my original training in thermodynamics. My approach integrates the precision of physical sciences with interdisciplinary collaboration to develop solutions that deliver verifiable impact. Theory and modeling depth are important, but the ultimate goal is translating scientific understanding into effective action.
