Academic interests
I am working on advanced materials for renewable energy. The materials are mostly semiconducting, and I am particular exploring how the properties change when the dimensions are reduced dramatically, all the way down to the nanoscale.
Background
I graduated from the University of Oslo in 2012 with a master in "Materials, Energy and Nanotechnology". During my master thesis I worked on thermoelectric oxides, more precisely La0,7Sr0,3CoO(3-delta) (0 < delta < 0,15), and I investigated how the nanostructure of the oxide affected the thermoelectrical properties.
After my studies I explored the "real world", and worked as a consultant for two years. I got to know a lot of exiting Norwegian companies within many different industries. Despite two very interesting years, I missed researching how and why things are the way they are. This led me back to the university, and I hope that my work will take us one step closer to cheaper and more efficient solar cells.
