From Science to Business

By Elin Melby from Inven2, and Prof. Ørjan G. Martinsen from UiO

Inven2 helps transforming science into products and services for the benefit of society. Researchers from UiO and the South-East Health region report inventions to Inven2 for development into products together with new start-up companies or established businesses in Norway or abroad.

The presentation will provide information on the innovation process in general and exemplify with the experiences of Ørjan G. Martinsen, the recipient of UiO’s Innovation Award 2019.

Throughout his academic career within bioimpedance and medical technology, Martinsen has worked closely with industry and always with the aim that his research should have practical usability and be beneficial for patients.
