All staff, PhD and MSc students are warmly invited to student project presentations for FYS4110.

The topics will be particularly relevant to MSc and PhD students.

Programme:

- 08:20–08:50: The “zoology” of quantum measurements.

- 08:55–09:25: Bell inequalities and experimental tests of local realism.

- 09:30–10:00: Decoherence and the quantum-to-classical transition (tentative).

- 10:00–10:15: Break (15 minutes)

- 10:15–10:45: Continuous-variable entanglement in mechanical systems.

- 10:50–11:20: Berry phase, holonomy and the quantum Hall effect.

- 11:25–11:55: Superconducting qubits: from the Cooper-pair box to the transmon (tentative).

Everyone is welcome!

Best regards, Francesco and Olav
