Trial lecture: Eda Sahin

Trial lecture for announced position as Associate professor in low-energy nuclear physics.

We want the candidate to give a 45 min lecture on «Electrical capacitors».

Student’s background: The lecture is intended to be given for 80-100 bachelor physics students in their third semester taking the course “FYS1120 Electromagnetism”. (Similar to standard courses in electromagnetism worldwide.) The students are supposed to have sufficient mathematical background (details can be given on request), and they have passed a course in classical mechanics. The concepts “Electrical capacitor” and “capacitance” presented in your lecture are completely new for the students.
