TEM specimen preparation
The TEM lab is well equipped with sample preparation tools for cutting, grinding and ion milling samples. There is also easy access to glove box, furnaces, focus ion beam, and plasma cleaner.
- Two Gatan PIPS instruments, PIPS I and II, and one Fischione 1010.
- Different types of dimpler, saws, ultrasonic cutters and other tools for TEM specimen preparation.
- Two Allied High Tech – MultiPrep™ Polishing Systems.
- An electropolisher.
- A Fishione 1010 plasma cleaner.
- A TESCAN SOLARIS FIB-SEM (not part of NORTEM).
