Studies of a heavy water SMR design for district heating purposes

Project Motivation

District heating provided by a small nuclear reactor has the potential to provide a stable green heat source that reduces the load on the electricity grid from heating.

Project Outcome

An early-stage HW SMR design with simulations that enables a discussion around the feasibility of such a concept. The outcome is expected to foster further studies.
