Advanced cardiac imaging

Heart failure is a serious diagnosis, characterized by the heart's reduced ability to supply the body with blood. We use advanced MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to study the development and progression of heart failure, and to understand the mechanisms underlying this disease.

A Master project with us is well-suited for those who are excited by applied physics, cardiac physiology, imaging technology and advanced image analysis. Our research group is part of the Institute for Experimental Medical Research at UiO/OUS, which is Norway's largest center for translational cardiac research, located at Ullevål hospital.
