Congratulations!

Today CEED counts for over 50 employees, all employees within different interdisciplinary fields. From the humble beginning in 2013 there were about 20 employees, many came from the former CEO center PGP.

In addition to those employed at CEED nowadays several from the permanent academic staff at the Department of Geosciences, University of CEED contribute in research in the CEED research umbrella. Department of Geosciences is also the host institution for the center.

Highly visible internationally

The activity level of the center is high; participation and presentations at major international GEO and Earth Sciences conferences, the staff has a high publishing factor, open seminars almost every week. The center is contributing in social media, has his own blog, twitter and is obviously on facebook. Research findings are cited often in the media, too.

Many of CEED's researchers have also managed to become noted both here in Norway and abroad with awards, and allocation of research funding. Trond Helge Torsvik got in 2016 the University of Oslos research award, an award that is highly sought.

The high activity level helps to make the research environment bigger and gives a more extensive activity.

Congratulations CEED from Department of Geosciences!
