What is fieldwork for?

This project critically examines fieldwork practices in higher geoscience education, particularly how fieldwork influences students’ learning, sense of belonging, and identity as geoscientists. Through an ethnographic approach, it is shown how fieldwork can both enable and constrain participation, and and the project considers how fieldwork may be reimagined to broaden inclusion in Earth Science.
