My academic interests ...

... span a wide range of topics covering cool star astrospheres, solar/stellar activity, the transport of charged particles within galactic, astrospheric, and planetary magnetic fields, the planetary secondary particle regime induced by high- and low-energy cosmic ray particles, and studying their impact on (exo)planetary formation, evolution, climate, chemistry, biosignatures, and habitability.

My research topics include

  • the formation and evolution of (exo-)planetary systems
  • the evolution of (exo-)planetary atmospheres
  • star-planet interactions
  • drivers of (exo)planetary habitability
  • cosmogenic radionuclide production and long-term reconstruction of solar activity
