ClearArctic (CLoud phasE shifts And their Role in shaping ARCTIC climate toward a warming future)
About the project: Haochi Che’s project will investigate how changes in cloud phase — the relative amounts of liquid and ice in Arctic clouds — influence surface energy balance, sea-ice evolution, and regional warming trends.
Using a combination of using satellite observations, in-situ measurements and climate modelling to improve the understanding of Arctic cloud feedbacks related with cloud phase changes, the aims to enhance future climate projections.
The new project is awarded under the Research Council of Norway’s Young Researcher scheme to Haochi Che who is the project leader.
