Event description

 

On November 14, 1920, a rock fall from Fletschhorn occured. The rock material moved along the glacier surface by mobilizing ice and snow. The rock/ice/snow avalanche had a total volume of 7.5 Mio m3 and travelled down a distance of 5 km. The avalance didn`t reach the glacier end.
