The Earth's moon is a target for many space missions shortly and has been observed already with satellites over many years. The next step is to map valuable resources across the moon to allow humans to build a Moon Village in the future. Analysis of remote sensing data in various spectral ranges will be the key to exploring these resources.
The project uses spectral analysis at least in the infrared and compares with other data sets collected by Lunar Prospector to map potential water-related spectral signatures.
