Design and optimization of thermal mapping from drone

The drone lab at UiO operates several UAV (aka. drones) and payloads, including some with thermal imagery capabilities. However, these sensors are sensitive to drift and absolute calibration biases. Therefore, it is challenging to produce usable thermal maps without particular care during acquisition time and processing.

The goal of this master's project is to design and test acquisition procedures, potentially including choosing or designing ground equipment aiding calibration, as well as processing pipelines for thermal data.
