The NANO laboratories at the Department of Informatics provide resources for future research and innovation in nanoelectronics(microelectronics). The facilities will enable advanced research on system design in silicon with direct relevance to Norwegian world-leading nanoelectronics industry.

Instruments:

  • Anechoic chamber: equipped with robotic arm for RF / Antenna measurements. RF measuring equipment (e.g. Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer) can also be rented for an additional fee.
  • Faraday cage: for low noise measurements equipped with, among other things, a probe station. Can be configured for various purposes. Supplemented measuring equipment can be rented for an additional fee.
  • Mounting: PCB mounting lab with PCB cutter for prototyping
  • PHD: General lab with temperature chamber that can be fitted with standard measuring instruments as well.

Description of services:

Depending on the equipment requirements, engineering support will be required. Details about setup and engineering support must be agreed with the research group in each case. This is normally done in the form of a review of needs and measurement plan / test bench.
