Abstract:
In this presentation I will show how open data can help energy research in two use cases. The first one is the generation of a dataset where we present the electricity system in Norway. I will introduce the source of data that is relevant to energy, and how we develop the geographic dataset. The second one deals with the recovery of urban power grid topology from open data. This work is still ongoing, and I will present the approaches for this recovery and the preliminary results.
