Siser ts base
Siser ts base is a semi-automatic heat press. Its primary function is to apply HTV (heat transfer vinyl) to clothing and other textiles.
It may however be used for other applications such as melting beadwork.

Operational Safety
- Do not use the heat press unless you know how to use it. For instruction, contact Sonen staff at ifi-sonen@ifi.uio.no.
- During closure, never place hands near the heating plate to avoid crushing and burns.
- Do not touch the top plate during operation.
- The heat press is never to be left unsupervised during operation.
- Do not move the machine during operation.
- Do not apply heat directly on the vinyl; use a sheet of baking paper.
- Power off the machine when you are done.
Standard Operating Procedure
- Figure out the temperature and press time of your HTV.
- Set appropriate temperature by pressing the middle button. The Set and Temp indicators should light up. Adjust the temperature shown on the display using the + and - buttons. Confirm the desired temperature by pressing the middle button.
- Set appropriate time by pressing the middle button twice. The Set and Time indicators should light up. Adjust the time shown on the display using the + and - buttons. Confirm the desired time by pressing the middle button.
- Once the press has reached the desired temperature, position the fabric on the lower plate.
- To remove wrinkles and moisture use the heat press on the fabric without HTV first.
- Position the HTV.
- Cover the HTV with a sheet of baking paper.
- Completely close the press (apply pressure until it latches).
- The timer will automatically count the set time and, when up, an acoustic signal is emitted.
- Open the heating plate and remove your fabric. The timer automatically returns to the time set by the user. At this point, the press is ready for subsequent transfers.
- Turn off the machine and tidy up after you.
