A domain specific programming language for image editing (memes)

Image editing tools, such as Paint, Gimp and Photoshop, manipulate images by means of graphical user interfaces (GUIs), that supply tools such as `the bucket`, that replaces a colour by a different colour in a colour-wise connected region of the image.

However, some image editing tasks always involve the same steps, and can be quite automated by a program. For instance, a meme, often involves loading an image and inserting captions at the top and bottom of the image. Often images will also be reused.

The topic of this thesis, is to develop a simple domain-specific programming language for specifying "template" image editing tasks. (like a TeX for a different domain).
