In our group, we are developing the BedreFlyt digital twin project, which aims to model and analyse patient streams in health-care services. The digital twin can be used to study how patients move through a health-care system and to explore how different conditions, such as changes in demand, capacity, or treatment processes, affect patient flow.
In this master’s thesis, you will create interesting and realistic patient-stream scenarios for the BedreFlyt digital twin. These scenarios should capture relevant behaviours and challenges in patient pathways, such as bottlenecks, varying arrival patterns, limited resources, and changes in patient priorities. The scenarios will be specified and implemented using STLts-Div, a temporal-logic-based framework for describing and generating diverse time-series behaviours. The thesis will provide insight into digital twins for health-care systems, patient-flow modelling, and formal scenario specification.
