Feminist AI for Outer Space

The space and AI industries are experiencing a moment of profound acceleration in both investment and innovation. Asymmetries of power are bringing the politics of both industries into public view: calling for an urgent challenge to the architectures of power and inequality that characterise this field.

In this project, students will combine speculative design with feminist theory to reimagine the futures of space technologies. They will develop prototypes of, for example, chatbots, robots, or virtual reality for space stations and space ships.
