This thesis aims on building a test setup for SiPM characterisation, including dark counts, photon detection efficiency, and gain behaviour.
The project includes:
- literature study and formulation of expected behaviour
- manufacturing of test equipment, like integrating sphere and pulsed LED (3D printing, simple PCB design, soldering)
- test campaign with different kinds of SiPMs
- data analysis
- comparison and result discussion
