Starting in spring 2025, REAL Art will hold one annual call for applications, with a deadline in May, which will provide grants up to two guest artists for projects in the following academic year (autumn-spring). The Bergesen Foundation, UiO:Life Science and KORO (Art in Public Space) are providing funding for these grants.
Both research and art are creative processes, each in its own way. Collaboration between artists and researchers can provide fantastic opportunities for mutual inspiration and communication to a wide audience, but today there are few opportunities where researchers and artists can meet and develop new projects. That is why we have established REAL art, a guest artist program that facilitates researchers and artists to get in touch and work creatively together.
We are now inviting researchers at the MN faculty to register their interest in participating in this spring's call by filling out this form by February 13th.
On February 6th, we will be holding an online meeting where interested researchers can get answers to questions about the program. Read more about the information meeting here
REAL art has now been implemented for 2 years and resulted in 4 art projects at the faculty. Read more about REAL art here
