Teaching:

Marine hydrodynamics: learn how to calculate the wave-induced forces and motions of geometries in the ocean space, such as offshore windturbines (e.g. the hywind-turbine), ships, offshore platforms, fish-farms.

Viscous flow and turbulence: learn how to calculate the laminar and turbulent boundary layers (including the law of the wall), as well as transition to turbulence (Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, Orr-Sommerfeld mechanism).

Current research:

Mini-tsunamis by ships (report in Norwegian).  Research paper on mini-tsunamis.

Internal waves and their stability. Nonlinear formation of internal waves.

Wave forces on porous geometries (fish farms).
